Mid West Music Fest 2022 La Crosse – Check out Mid West Music Fest September 16th-17th for an exciting weekend of music, entertainment and the arts! Featuring regional artists for over 13 years, the festival promotes music and art of all genres and mediums and supports the connection of the community to our local music and art scenes throughout the area. This special Driftless region festival was held earlier this year in Winona, and the second festival will take off this weekend on Friday with a variety of opening acts at venues throughout the city, and the music will continue through Friday evening and all day Saturday.

There will be event stages and performances at the Root Note, Riverside Park, The Main, the Popcorn Tavern, the Warehouse, the Charmant, and Grounded Patio. Check out the lineup for the La Crosse Mid West Music Fest and the schedule of performances. There will also be a Mid West Music Fest Makers Market, a Family Zone, Tintype Portraits, and more to look forward to. La Crescent Applefest – September 15th through the 18th head across the bridge to La Crescent for Applefest 2022. Enjoy a couple of days of fun events and festival gatherings including Apple History Trivia Night, family fun shows and carnival rides, the King Apple Tent, the Tapping of the Red Apple Keg, and much more! Get a wristband now and be sure to check out the events page, so you won’t miss out on any event throughout the weekend.

Thursday

7th Annual Willie and Waylon Tribute Show! – Presented by Deece Productions join Dan Sebranek as Willie Nelson and Greg Hall as Waylon Jennings for the 7th Annual Willie and Waylon Tribute Show. The show will be at the Freighthouse Restaurant at 6:30pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door but are very limited so be sure to grab yours if you still can.

Friday

Artaria String Quartet – Cappella Grand Opening – Join the Cappella Performing Arts Center for their Grand Opening on September 16th, featuring Minnesota’s foremost teaching and performing string quartet, Artaria String Quartet. From 7:30pm to 11:00pm, audience members can expect refined and thoughtful playing and confident interpretations from an exceptional ensemble.

Mid West Music Fest Friday Spotlight – The Friday evening lineup for Mid West Music Fest features a variety of epic local and regional artists who are ready to rock the various venues throughout the night. Spotlight headliners include Field Report who will be playing at Riverside Park, Dead Horses who play at The Main, Immortal Girlfriend at the Warehouse, and The Immaculate Beings at the Root Note. Other acts that will make Friday night a highlight include Good Morning Bedlam, Kiss the Tiger, Night Moves, The Shackletons, theyself, and many more.

Saturday

Mid West Music Fest Saturday Spotlight – The fun at Mid West Music Festival continues all day long and into the night on Saturday. A few headliners you may not want to miss are GGOOLLDD at the Root Note, S. Carey at Riverside Park, and BLOOD $MOKE BODY at the Popcorn Tavern. Other spotlight acts throughout the day and evening include J.E. Sunde, Cass Magpie, The People Brother’s Band, The Violet Nines, and more.

Coming Up

Alpine Inn Fall Rock Fest!Alpine Inn invites everyone 21+ to get their duff up the bluff for their final music festival of the year! Starting at 2pm and rocking until late evening, you can come see Jen Wilder, Overplayed, and the Greedy Volunteers. The outdoor bar will be serving drinks, there will be lawn games, and there will be a free shuttle running to Bennett O’Riley’s every hour starting at 2 pm. Come out for a fun evening of great music, company, and entertainment.

Sandbar Storytelling Festival – Start looking forward to the Sandbar Storytelling Festival, a three day storytelling event held in Winona, Minnesota in October. The festival will bring exciting storytelling performances and chronicles, food, and workshops to Winona from October 14th to 15th. The performances will celebrate and preserve varied cultural traditions and human experiences, while promoting the art of storytelling for all ages.

Phantom Of The Opera (1925 Silent Film) Featuring: The Mighty Moller Organ – Presented by the Cappella Performing Arts Center, come and see the Phantom Of The Opera, the 1925 silent horror film on October 31st at 7:00pm. The film will be accompanied by the Mighty Moller Cappella organ played by Peter Krasinski. A film adaptation of Gaston Leroux’s 1910 novel Le Fantôme de l’Opéra, The Phantom Opera stars the Phantom played by Lou Chaney who haunts the Paris Opera House in an attempt to make the woman he loves a star.
