Visiting sunflower fields is something that we look forward to each summer. As the sunflower season approaches in Wisconsin, we have compiled a list of the sunflower fields to add to your day-trip bucket list for your family to enjoy these gems of nature. All of these are within driving distance of the La Crosse Area!
Since Mother Nature sets the schedule for sunflower season, it’s always a good idea to check with these businesses before you go to be sure the fields are in full bloom and ready for picking!
Berry and Bloom Farm
Address: 6945 150th Ave SE, Chatfield, MN 55923
Hours: Monday – Saturday, 8 AM – 8 PM
About an hour from La Crosse, Berry & Bloom Farm makes for the perfect summer day trip. Wander through four acres of towering sunflowers along winding mowed paths and soak in the beauty of endless golden blooms. It’s an unforgettable spot for photos, a peaceful stroll, and making the most of sunflower season. Blooming is expected in late summer.
The Berry Market
Address: N16045 Kriesel Lane, Trempealeau, WI
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8 AM – 6 PM | Friday – Saturday, 8 AM – 7 PM | Sunday, 8 AM – 6 PM
You can snag sunflowers for $4/stem at The Berry Market this season! They also offer a bright and cheerful U-Pick sunflower experience, typically later in the fall. Follow along on their Facebook page for updates on when the U-Pick will be offered! While you’re there, enjoy some of their fresh goodies in the market, or treat yourself with a scoop of ice cream, too! It’s the perfect sunny day outing, complete with beautiful blooms and plenty of photo-worthy moments.
Ferguson’s Orchards

Hours: Monday – Friday, 10 AM – 6 PM | Saturday – Sunday, 9:30 AM – 6 PM | Season is August 15th – November 1st
Ferguson’s Orchards is an apple orchard at its core (see what we did there? 😉), but is also home to a beautiful sunflower field that makes for perfect fall stop! Grab a Carmel apple or cider and walk through the sunflowers, then stick around for all of their other family-friendly activities like the corn maze, petting zoo and hayrides. Admission is required.
Fischer Hill Flowers

Hours: Open Daily, 8 AM – 7 AM
Fischer Hill Flowers, approximately an hour drive from the La Crosse area, is a beautiful you-pick flower farm tucked into the scenic countryside. Open daily (weather permitting) visitors can wander through thousands of vibrant blooms and handpick their own flowers to create a bouquet straight from the field. It’s a lovely little flower-filled escape for a day trip.
Jolivette Family Farms
Jolivette doesn’t have a sunflower field this year, but we still wanted to list them here because hopefully the flowers will be back in 2027 for photo ops or pick-your-own options. Stay tuned next summer!

Jolivette Family Farms in West Salem, WI, is a cherished destination known for its diverse agricultural offerings and family-friendly atmosphere. This family-owned and operated farm provides a variety of fresh produce, including fruits and vegetables, grown with sustainable practices.
Township 23 Distillery

Township 23 is a Farm distillery & tasting room in Nelson, WI. The sunflower fields at Village Edge Farms outside of Nelson, WI were grown and maintained by the Hetrick Family. In 2022, Zach Hetrick formed a new vision to use their family’s knowledge of crop farming to grow grains to distill spirits. There is still a sunflower field at the distillery for customers to enjoy!
Van Lin Orchards

Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 12 PM – 6 PM | Season opener is September 4th.
Van Lin Orchards is a family-owned apple orchard just outside La Crescent, Minnesota, offering a classic fall farm experience. Admission is free, and visitors can pick their own apples and pumpkins while enjoying the orchard’s sunflower field and corn maze. The sunflower field typically begins blooming in early September, making it a fun spot to add to your fall day-trip plans!
