Thursday 6/1

PRIDE at The Main – June marks the kick off of Pride Month, an entire month of events, festivals, and parades dedicated to the uplifting of LGBTQ+ voices and culture, and the support of LGBTQ+ rights. Stop by The Main tonight from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm to celebrate PRIDE presented by The Artsiders and The Center: 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection. There will be local artists (highlighting LGBTQA+ artists), local drag and musicians!

Tom Wopat and The Midwestern All Star Band – Moon Tunes is back for the summer at Riverside Park! Come down tonight from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm for Tom Wopat and The Midwestern All Star Band. Enjoy this free community event with live music and great company!

Friday 6/2

Artist Reception – Help the Pump House celebrate the current work in their galleries with an open house Artist Reception on Friday evening at 5:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public, and will offer the opportunity to meet the artists and enjoy complimentary snacks and wine. The artists and works include Imagination Deception by Chase Gentry and Flora by Kirsten Engel.

First Friday Downtown Art Walk – Support local art at the First Friday Downtown Art Walk on May 5th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Meet featured artists, exhibitions and new collections at various arts supporting locations in downtown La Crosse. These include River City Gallery, the Pump House, Fannin Counseling & Art Therapy and more.

Darcey May’s Country Jam – Come down to Pearl Street Brewery for Darcey May’s Country Jam with Branded Hot Country. The doors open at 6:00 pm, with the music running from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Dress in your most country outfit and grab your tickets today!

Saturday 6/3

Alpine Inn Presents: The Granddad Get-Down – Get ready for the Granddad Get-Down, a bluegrass and folk music festival this summer at Alpine Inn! The music starts at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 3 with a lineup featuring Bryce Thomaschefsky, Spine Stealers, Knee High July, Hemlock Chaser, Billy Bronsted and the Loot, and Joseph Huber. Tickets are $10 presale, and $15 dollars the day of the show.

Bacon Fest 2023 – Bacon Fest is back! Come down to Copeland Park on Saturday at 12:00 pm to participate in the festivities. Festival goers can sample area meat markets’ best bacon creations and local restaurants bacon inspired dishes, and vote for their favorite. The annual Bacon Eating Contest will be back this year for the second time, too, featuring 10 contestants and 2 pounds of bacon. Grab your tickets soon.

Sunday 6/4

Stacy Steven Hanson and Friends – Presented by Broken Wrist Records, stop by Leo and Leona’s this Sunday to see Stacy Steven Hanson and Friends live. The show will feature members of the local band Red Sky Warning, as well as Andy Hughes and Payton Eilers. The show runs from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.

The Market at 608 Brewing Company – Another Green World plant shop and 608 Brewing Company present, The Market at 608 Brewing Company. A new local farmer and makers market starting in La Crosse this June and running through the summer. The first market will be on June 4th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm and feature a range of local farmers and makers.

Artspire La Crosse 2023: 10th Anniversary – Artspire is back this June for their 10th Anniversary festival! Plan on heading to Artspire on Saturday June 10th and joining the Pump House Regional Arts Center for an all-inclusive, free, community arts celebration that showcases the power of the arts to create community. There will be music and performances, a fine art fair & sale, interactive arts, food trucks and a beer garden. Mark your calendars and purchase your tickets early!

Prairie Dog Blues Festival – Coming up this summer on July 27-29, 2023, make the trip down the river road to Prairie du Chien for the Prairie Dog Blues Festival. Held every year on historic St. Feriole Island, right on the Mississippi River, the Prairie Blues Festival is a blues music festival. Blues and Roots music from Chicago Blues to West Coast Jump, hard-driving Mississippi Hill Country Blues, New Orleans horns and Texas Boogie, Zydeco, Gospel, Blues Rock; the festival makes for a great weekend of live music and entertainment.
