Dos Cuerpos by La Crosse Chamber Chorale – Support the La Crosse Chamber Chorale by viewing their April concerts, Dos Cuerpos, at the Cappella Performing Arts Center on April 15th and 16th. The concerts will feature the chamber chorale along with the Mexican pop a cappella group, Vox Populi. Purchase your tickets now!

Local Music at the Popcorn Tavern – There are opportunities all weekend long to support local music at the Popcorn Tavern. Check out The Heaping Spoonfuls & Noah James Hittner performing live at 10:00 pm on Friday night. Or stop by on Saturday and see WIGGLE ROOM perform their Tribute to Phish & Grateful Dead at 10:00 pm. Both events are 21+ and have a $10 cover charge at the door.

Friday 4/14

Artaria String Quartet at Cappella Performing Arts Center – Join the Cappella Performing Arts Center in, yet again, welcoming Minnesota’s foremost teaching and performing string quartet, Artaria String Quartet. From 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm, audience members can expect refined and thoughtful playing and confident interpretations from an exceptional ensemble including the works of Haas, Rudd-Moore, and Brahms. Audiences can also enjoy Afterglow with Greg Balfany Quartet following the performance by Artaria String Quartet.

Luke Hendrickson & the Crop Circles – Head to Alpine Inn for Luke Hendrickson and his band the Crop Circles on Friday night! The show starts at 8:00 pm and the band is known for their folk-country music. Catch up with and learn more about the band on Episode 379 of the La Crosse Local Podcast before the show.

Gina Chavez at the Weber Center – Presented by the Viterbo Fine Arts Center, purchase tickets to see Latin Grammy nominee Gina Chavez at the Weber Center on Friday, April 14th. Chavez is a 12-time Austin Music Award winner, and her pop-rock music blends the sounds of the Americas with both English and Spanish lyrics and songs.

Saturday 4/15

Music of Pakistan – Sana Illahe at Pump House Regional Arts Center – Reserve your spot for a free concert at the Pump House on Saturday, April 15 featuring UWL professor, Dr. Sana Illahe and the Music of Pakistan. Trained in the Hindustani classical music tradition of Pakistan, Dr. Illahe will be sharing the centuries’ old music that has been passed down orally through generations, as well as playing the surmandal, tanpura, and harmonium. The show is free to the public, but donations to the artist are welcomed.

Midwest Voltage and ZAMMEK Split Album Release at Pearl Street Brewery – Come and party with ZAMMEK and Midwest Voltage to support and celebrate the release of their new split album, Beer City’s Finest at Pearl Street Brewery. Porcupine and Stopping Short will also be joining, meaning there will be four epic bands performing at the brewery for a night of great music and beer. The doors open at 6:00 pm, and the music starts at 7:00 pm. Pay a $10 cover charge in advance or at the door.

La Crosse Community Theatre Special Rec Play: The Lightning Thief – Snag tickets and pack up the kids for an awesome night of Children’s theater presented by the La Crosse Community Theatre. The Lightning Thief production will be showing on Saturday at 11:00 am and again at 2:00 pm at the Lyche Theatre. This Youth-Musical Theatre follows alongside Percy Jackson as he sets out on a quest to find Zeus’ missing master lightning bolt, and it will be an exciting show for kids of all ages.

The Lone Canary & David Nash at The Root Note – Music at the Root Note! Stop by on Saturday night to see The Lone Canary, the Folk/Americana duo of Jesse Fox and Heather Camacho, and David Nash, who is an author and singer songwriter from the Driftless Area. The music starts at 8:00 pm and it is sure to be an enjoyable evening of live entertainment.

Justin Moore: The You, Me, & Whiskey Tour at the La Crosse Center – Grab tickets to see country artist Justin Moore at the La Crosse Center for The You, Me, & Whiskey Tour. The show is on Thursday, April 20th at 8:00 pm. Ticket prices range from $36.50 to $66.50 and can be purchased online.

Cheech’s Deece Fest Pre Party with Shoeless Revolution – Deecefest isn’t until July, but get a little taste of the fun at Cheech’s Deecefest Pre Party on April 28th at The Main. The party will feature the band Shoeless Revolution, and the chance to win two pairs of tickets for Deecefest this summer. The doors open at 6:00 and the show kicks off at 7:00 pm. Pat McCurdy Adult Prom Night at Alpine Inn – Grab your partner and come to prom! Join Alpine Inn and Pat McCurdy on Friday, April 21st for an Adult Prom Night starting at 8:00 pm. The cover charge is $5 for a night of fun and music.

5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche – The La Crosse Community Theatre will be showing 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche from April 21st to April 30th. Featuring laughs, innuendos, unsuccessful repressions, and delicious discoveries, 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche makes for a great evening or afternoon of theater.

Downtown Thursday Nights – Starting in July, make the trip to Tomah for Downtown Thursday Nights! Every Thursday night will feature live music, food and drink vendors, and a fun kids zone presented by the Tomah Chamber & Visitor Center. Downtown Thursday Nights in Tomah are family friendly and oriented events held right in downtown Tomah. The live music typically kicks off around 6:00 pm and the events run until 9:00 pm.

Popcorn and Movie Tickets Fundraiser – Help Beer By Bike Brigade, Clara Gelatt of Rivoli Theatre and Pizzeria, and Terry Bauer of Moon Tunes La Crosse raise dollars for Dignity Homes La Crosse, the La Crosse Area Family YMCA and the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra! Participate in their donation based drive-thru event on Saturday, April 22 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the State Bank Lot by purchasing bags of movie theater popcorn and two movie theater tickets to use on a night of your choosing.
