All Weekend

Downtown Dining Week – Support local restaurants and eateries in La Crosse during Downtown Dining Week presented by Downtown Mainstreet La Crosse. Nineteen local restaurants all around the La Crosse area will be serving specially curated menus for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Get out and enjoy some delicious food, and pair it with one of the weekend events for a full day or evening of fun.

Friday

A Tribute To “Nirvana Unplugged in New York” (SOLD OUT)– Presented by Deece Productions at The Main event space, come see a brand new tribute to one of the most legendary live shows of all time “Nirvana Unplugged in New York.” The show features local musicians Gregg “Cheech” Hall, Casey Virock, Matt Mahlum, and Jim Heiderscheit, and opens with special guests Ryan Hanifl and Sammy Allen. Or you can head to the Rebel Queens, in the midst of an era that is saying, “Rock is dead” comes a band of fun-loving women that will make you remember the best of rock n roll! They combine the snarl of Joan Jett with the soul of Led Zeppelin, catch them locally at Pearl Street Brewery.

Saturday 

The Vagina Monologues – The winner of an Obie Award and a landmark production in women’s empowerment, see the La Crosse Community Theatre’s performance of Eve Ensler’s, The Vagina Monologues. Adapted from Ensler’s hilarious, eye-opening one-woman show, the performance gives a voice to real women’s deepest fears, anger, and pleasures through thoroughly human, compassionate, and irreverent stories. The show starts at 7:30pm at the Veterans Studio Theatre.

Sunday

The Elephant Speaks Jazz – Spend some time on Sunday with the family at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts to see the Viterbo University’s Conservatory for the Performing Arts’ performance of The Elephant Speaks Jazz. The play starts at 2pm at the Lyche Theatre, and features an original score and life-sized puppets, making it a wonderful performance for families and audiences of all ages.
