Friday 3/24

Knee High July at the Alpine Inn – Head to Alpine Inn on Friday, March 24 to see the band Knee High July return to play another epic show, this time joined by singer-songwriter Bryce Thomaschefsky. The show starts at 8:00 pm and there will be a raffle for a couple tickets for the following night’s Dig Deep show, too. Be ready for a night of great music, good food and drinks, and friends.

Becky Shaw by Grey Area Productions – An original play by Gina Gionfriddo, come and see Becky Shaw presented by Grey Area Productions. Becky Shaw is a comedic tale about ambition and truth, as audiences follow five dysfunctional characters and their witty convictions about love. Performances will take place at the Pump House Regional Arts Center on March 24, 25, 30, 31 and April 1 at 7:30 pm, and on March 26 and April 2 at 2:00 pm. There is a preview performance with free admission on March 23 at 7:30 pm.

The Diary of Anne Frank Presented by the La Crosse Community Theatre – Running March 24th through April 2nd, the La Crosse Community Theatre will be presenting their rendition of The Diary of Anne Frank. The undeniably moving show brings historical figure Anne Frank to life as a living, lyrical, intensely gifted young girl confronting uncertainty, changes, and the increasing horror of her time. Tickets are available for purchase now.

Saturday 3/25

Dig Deep LIVE @ Alpine! – Purchase your tickets now to see Dig Deep live at Alpine Inn on Saturday night, March 25! Starting at 8:00 pm, the live show is sure to be entertaining with a combination of traditional bluegrass and country music and rock and roll. Dig Deep is a unique and powerful force in the roots world, and has played punk/metal scenes, local bars and roadhouses, and regional festivals.

The Iowans and Special Guests Loosey Stone – Head out to Leo and Leona’s on Saturday night for another special evening of great live music! The Iowans, a musical duo of two cousins Katie and Christina, will be joined by John Maduro on violin, Mat Grewe on jazzy bass and Dave Bruce on warm vocal harmonies and electric guitar. Loosey Stone, a new acoustic outfit out of Viroqua, will be the opening act. Purchase your tickets now for the 7:30 pm performance.

Julia Blair Quartet & Genevieve Heyward at The Root Note – Stop by The Root Note for a free live show by Julia Blair Quartet and Genevieve Heyward on Saturday at 7:30 pm. Enjoy a variety of food and drinks for purchase, and some great live music by two Wisconsin artists.

Acrylic Tile Making Class – Sign up for an acrylic tile making class at River City Gallery La Crosse with local artist Cindy Stuhr. Class participants will learn to paint a set of drink coasters using a variety of fluid pour painting styles. The class is on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and it costs $45 to sign up; $30 for the class and $15 for the materials.

The Kid Presented by Cappella Performing Arts Center – Purchase tickets to see The Kid (1917 Silent Film) at the Cappella Performing Arts Center accompanied by the Mighty Moller Organ. The showing starts at 7:00 pm and runs until 9:00 pm on Friday, March 31. Charlie Chaplin, Edna Purviance, and Jackie Coogan star in this 1921 production.

Granddad Get-Down pre party with Spine Stealers! – Attend the Alpine Inn Granddad Get-Down pre-party on March 31st for a night of live folk and bluegrass music, and the chance to win tickets for the June 3rd Granddad Get-Down concert. The pre-party will feature the Spine Stealers and the show begins at 2:00 pm. Get your tickets now!

Petty Comes Alive at the La Crosse Center – Tom Petty comes alive! Grab tickets for the Petty Comes Alive show at the La Crosse Center on April 1st for a tribute show to one of the greats. The show will feature Gregg Hall, Chris Castino, Dan Israel, Eddie Juntunen, Trent Norton, and Noah Levy. Tickets are on sale now, and the show runs from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

2nd Annual Black & Gold Fundraising Party at Maple Grove – The Black & Gold Fundraising Party hosted by the Black Leaders Acquiring Collective Knowledge is back at it again at Maple Grove Venue to raise funds for their La Crosse area community programming. Purchase tickets for this 21+ event that will entail your best black and gold attire, great food, dancing, and the opportunity to bid on prizes to help raise funds.
