Featured Mid West Music Fest!

Friday May 12th – Mid West Music Fest will be rockin in Winona all weekend! There are stages all around town at various locations, including Levee Main, Island City Brewing, No Name Bar, Eagles Club, Peter’s Biergarten, Blooming Grounds Cafe, and Acoustic Cafe. Charlieboy, The People Brothers Band, Nur-D, We Are The Willows, Good Morning Bedlam, and more will be playing on Friday night.

Saturday May 13th – Catch The Lavender Project, Kashimana, YOUR SMITH, Purple Funk Metropolis, Humbird, and more awesome local and regional bands at day two of Mid West Music Fest in Winona. There will be shows all afternoon and into the evening at various venues around town.

On Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm there will be a Maker’s Market with regional vendors selling handmade goods. Also on Saturday is Yoga on the Levee at 10:00 am with Muddy Waters, plus a Family Zone with family friendly activities. www.midwestmusicfest.org

Rent presented by the La Crosse Community Theatre – Join the La Crosse Community Theatre for Rent, the classic Jonathan Larson masterpiece that follows a year in the life of young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York’s Lower East Side. The show will be running until May 21st, with showtimes on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Purchase your tickets now!

Friday 5/12

Michelle LL and Danny Jerabek of Copper Box – Come out for live music on Friday night! Michelle LL and Danny Jerabek of Copper Box will be performing an intimate duo at Alpine Inn starting at 8:00pm. Come early for dinner and stay for the drinks and the live performance. There will be a $5 cover charge.

Saturday 5/13

Inaugural South Lanes Pizza & Wings After Hours – Make time in your Saturday night for the first ever South Lanes Pizza & Wings After Hours. Starting at 8:30 pm, come by for this inaugural event featuring live music by Gregg Cheech Hall and Chubba “Cheeba.” Should be a great evening of live music, food, and drinks.
Paul Leithold Quartet at The Starlite Lounge – Head to the Starlite Lounge for great music and drinks on Saturday night. The Paul Leithold Quartet will be playing at 8:00 pm, featuring Chip Schreader on tenor sax, Michael Sloane on Bass, Canaan McDuffie on drums and Paul Leithold on guitar. Get ready for some live, funky jazz.
Josh Meloy at Cavalier Theater – Stop by the Cavalier Theater on Saturday to see Josh Meloy live! Coming all the way from Oklahoma, the band will be playing original country music starting at 7:00 pm. Tickets are on sale online.

Sunday 5/14

HMoob American Day Celebration – Celebrate HMoob American Day with Cia Siab and Nature Place La Crosse at Myrick Park this Sunday. Starting at 11:00 am, stop down for free food and drinks, games, and prizes for all ages. The event is free and open to the public until 2:00 pm.

Coming Up

Wings (1927 Silent Film) with Peter Krasinski – Buy tickets to see Wings, a 1927 silent film at the Cappella Performing Arts Center on May 26. The film starts at 7:00 pm and will be accompanied by Peter Krasinski playing the Möller Organ. Don’t miss out on this cinematic masterpiece about love and loss, the tragic futility of war, and the need for peace.
Cabaret in May | The Greatest Show – Come to the Cabaret in May presented by the La Crosse Chamber Chorale at the Court Above Main. Starting at 6:00 pm on Friday May 19th, see a variety of great performances from popular musicals including The Greatest Showman, Cabaret, A Chorus Line, and Moulin Rouge. Tickets are $70 per person for this wonderful cabaret-style performance.
Artspire La Crosse 2023: 10th Anniversary – Artspire is back this June for their 10th Anniversary festival! Plan on heading to Artspire on Saturday June 10th and joining the Pump House Regional Arts Center for an all-inclusive, free, community arts celebration that showcases the power of the arts to create community. Alpine Inn Presents: The Granddad Get-Down – Grab your tickets early for the Granddad Get-Down, a bluegrass and folk music festival this summer at Alpine Inn. The music starts at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 3 with a lineup featuring Bryce Thomaschefsky, Spine Stealers, Knee High July, Hemlock Chaser, Billy Bronsted and the Loot, and Joseph Huber. Tickets are $10 presale, and $15 dollars the day of the show.
