Live Music at the Popcorn Tavern – Support local artists and music venues! See live music any night this weekend at the Popcorn Tavern. On Friday you can catch The People Brothers Band (who will also be performing at the La Crosse Mid West Music Fest in September) at 9:15pm to start your weekend off right. Then you can also stop in on Saturday night at 9:00pm to see a live performance by Brothers Burn Mountain. Grab dinner downtown before the shows to make a full evening of fun and entertainment in La Crosse.

Downtown Art Walk – Downtown Art Walks return to the first Friday of every month brought to you by the Pump House Regional Arts Center and other partners including the River City Gallery La Crosse, Turtle Stack Brewery, Grounded Coffee for the month of May. Take time to visit the art galleries and art stops in Downtown La Crosse and enjoy the live music, demonstrations, refreshments, and dinner at various restaurants. Each month may bring new locations and events, so be sure to check back every month!
Next to Normal – Winner of three Tony Awards, including Best Musical Score and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize, see a talented La Crosse Community Theatre cast present its rendition of Next to Normal. Peer into the lives of the Goodmans, a seemingly typical American family with more going on than meets the eye. The show focuses on mental health and presents an unflinching and moving look at a suburban American family struggling with the effects of mental illness.
Saturday
Saturday Brewery Tours – Enjoy Saturday Brewery Tours with Pearl Street Brewery the first Saturday of the month! Tour the brewery, get a PSB pint glass souvenir, one free fill, and a BOGO voucher for participating bars & restaurants. Tours run from 2:30pm to 4:30pm and cost $10.00 in person, but you can reserve your spot online for $11.00.
La Crosse Bacon Fest – Come down to the first-ever Bacon Fest in La Crosse at Copeland Park for an afternoon of food and fun! Festival goers can expect bacon dish samples from a variety of restaurants, a bacon eating contest, meat markets and retail vendors selling their products, music, and a chance to vote for their favorite bacon creation. General admission tickets are $20 and include one free bacon sample from each participating vendor. VIP tickets will get you two free drink vouchers, one bacon sample from each vendor, a chance to grab another sample from your favorite vendor, and a Bacon Fest t shirt for $45.
Live! from La Crosse Episode 24: Don’t Tell Mom! Featuring Keith Coogan – La Crosse Wisconsin’s own all original sketch comedy show, Live! from La Crosse, is putting on a special show with celebrity guest host Keith Coogan! With over 100 film and TV credits, you may know Keith Coogan from hits like Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter is Dead, Toy Soldiers and Adventures in Babysitting. Before and after the show fans will have the chance for a meet and greet with Coogan for autographs, merch, and photographs to remember the show by.

Live Music: Doug Mahlum at Elmaro Vineyard – Take mom to the Elmaro Vineyard in Trempealeau, WI for Mother’s Day! Musician Doug Mahlum will be playing live covers of past favorites and spins on newer music, too. The vineyard is also offering a Mother’s Day Cupcake and Wine Pairing for those who call ahead to the winery and reserve their box. The special package includes six Cupcake Artistry mini-cupcakes with six Elmaro wine samples, all for mom to share or enjoy all by herself. Be sure to reserve your box in advance, and then head to the winery on Saturday or Sunday to pick it up to go, or enjoy it on site with your mom.
Mother’s Day at La Crosse Distilling Co. – Visit the La Crosse Distilling Co. on Mother’s Day for a special brunch menu to celebrate mom. Open from 11am to 9pm, try their quiche Florentine, huevos rancheros and their Fieldnotes Vodka bloody marys.

Artspire – La Crosse’s largest, free arts celebration in Downtown La Crosse, Artspire is back again this summer with a full weekend of visual arts, performing arts, dance, theater, literary arts and storytelling, interactive arts, and demonstration arts. Presented and funded by the Pump House Regional Arts Center, Artspire is a free community event that fosters meaningful arts experiences within our diverse community. Situated in La Crosse’s Arts District near the Pump House Regional Arts Center, the celebration runs June 10-11, 2022.
Feel the Rhythm: Spring Seasonal Saturday – Stop in to the Minnesota Marine Art Museum on May 14th for the second upcoming Seasonal Saturday of 2022. Inspired by MMAM’s exhibition, Sonja Peterson: What the Trade Winds Brought, visitors can take part in special themed activities based on the theme “Feel the Rhythm.” The event’s one dollar admission fee gives you access to eleven different activities including an artist demonstration by Sonja Peterson, live music from various artists, art-making activities and more!
