Scrooge in Rouge: An English Music Hall Christmas Carol – Celebrate the holiday season with the last week of Scrooge in Rouge: An English Music Hall Christmas Carol presented by the La Crosse Community Theatre. An offbeat, bawdy, but hilarious version of the Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, purchase tickets for performances on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday evening at 7:30 pm.

La Crosse Community Theatre Presents Disney’s Beauty and the Beast – Support local theater and come see the La Crosse Community Theatre present their final weekend of a classic Disney tale as old as time, Beauty and the Beast. There are available showings on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 pm, and on Sunday at 2:00 pm. Purchase your tickets now!

“An American Christmas” with the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra – The La Crosse Symphony Orchestra teams up with Matt Curtis and the Coulee Classic Barbershop Quartet for a bouquet of Holiday favorites in “An American Christmas.” With shows on December 16 & 17 at the Viterbo Fine Arts Center, this will be one holiday show to remember. String Ties Holiday Concert at the Pump House – Experience a holiday concert by The String Ties Band at the Pump House Regional Arts Center at 7:30 pm. Together for over 25 years, The String Ties present their popular YULE show for a heart-warming take on melodies of the holiday season in their Bluegrass and Acoustic String Music style. Purchase your tickets early!

La Crosse Center Presents: Christmas Lights & Country (Postponed)– Head to the La Crosse Center Saturday, December 17th for Christmas Lights & County with Big Liquor and special guest Nate Loeffelholz & the Stocking Stuffers. The doors open at 5:00 pm and the event is free for everyone 17 and under. Purchase your tickets soon.

Christmas at Cappella – The La Crosse Boychoir presents their Christmas concert, Christmas at Cappella filled with choral and instrumental music for the holidays. Located at the Cappella Performing Arts Center, the concert begins at 3:00 pm and is perfect for audiences of all ages. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 & under.

Hip-Hop Breakfast with Santa – Come down Saturday morning for the second annual Hip-Hop Breakfast with Santa at the Mathy Center Boys and Girls Club from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm hosted by Hope Restores and Kailia Davis. All are welcome to enjoy a warm breakfast, music, dancing, gifts and a good time. Be sure to wear your hip-hop Christmas gear!

Porcupine & Gentleman Speaker at Popcorn Tavern – Live music at the Popcorn Tavern! Check out Indie/Alt Rock bands Porcupine and Gentleman Speaker from the Twin Cities this Saturday night at 10:00 pm. The event is 21+ and the doors open at 9:00 pm.

I Wonder as I Wander: La Crosse Chamber Chorale – Join the La Crosse Chamber Chorale for their winter concert, I Wonder as I Wander on Sunday, December 18th. The concert will start at 3:00 pm and celebrate several holiday traditions. The event is free to the public, but a suggested donation of $10 per person and a nonperishable food item for WAFER is appreciated.

Little Lights Everywhere – Help The Main aid the New Horizons Shelter in providing families and abuse victims with clothing and personal care items this holiday season. From 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm you can donate items in exchange for entry to their event Little Lights Everywhere and admission for gift raffles totaling over $1.5k in value to local businesses. The event will feature 7 musical guests, 3 live artists and a street performer, plus an Ugly Sweater Competition.

Hans Mayer Family Christmas Concert – Head to Leo and Leona’s for Hans Mayer’s annual family Christmas concert, Happy Little Elves Christmas Show. The 20th annual show features musicians Hans Mayer, Sue Hauser, Dan Sebranek and Jessie McDonald. There will be original, traditional and children’s holiday songs for all to enjoy starting at 1:00 pm. The cover charge is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 2-10, and kids 2 and under are free.

Barefoot Becky Band at La Crosse Concordia Ballroom – A popular group based out of Mount Vernon, Iowa, come and see Barefoot Becky & the Ivanhoe Dutchmen at the Concordia Ballroom. The music and dancing kicks off on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm and runs until 5:00 pm. Enjoy a great evening of music and entertainment for only $10 at the door.

Coming Up 12/22 – 12/29

Christmas Eve with Pearl Street Brewery – Get in the holiday spirit on Christmas Eve with a pint at Pearl Street Brewery! The brewery will be open from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, December 24th. Come by for one more beer before the busy holiday season and the new year.

Christmas Fish Fry with Bell’s Brewery! – Fork and Fable Crafthouse are welcoming back Bell’s Brewery from Comstock, MI and invite you to get in the holiday spirit with a Christmas fish fry on Friday, December 23rd. Great beer, food, holiday giveaways, and fun! Come down Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

On the Road 12/16 – 12/22

Payton Eilers at Footjoy Farm and Brewing – Hit the road and see Payton Eilers perform at Footjoy Farm and Brewing on Sunday, December 18th. The show starts at 4:00 pm and there will be food and drinks to enjoy with a side of great live music.

Outlaw Night at High Noon Saloon – Join Greg Hall & the Wrecking Ball for Outlaw Night at the High Noon Saloon in Madison. Outlaw Night is a tribute to Willie, Waylon, Johnny, and the Hanks on Saturday, December 17th. The doors open at 6:30 pm and the show starts at 7:30 with $10 tickets in advance, and $15 at the door (18+).
