All Weekend

Great River Shakespeare Festival – An essential part of summer in Minnesota, the Great River Shakespeare Festival is back in Winona for their 2023 season. Don’t miss out on shows like As You Like It, Imbroglio, The Winter’s Tale, and everyone’s favorite Callithump. Check out the season schedule online and buy tickets soon. There are performances of three different shows taking place this weekend.

Cinderella (SummerStage 2023) – Buy tickets to see the UWL Theatre Department perform Cinderella (Enchanted Version) this weekend as a part of their Summer Stage 2023 performances. The musical is inspired by the 1997 ABC television remake and will be a great show for fans of the original and the adaptation. There are performances on June 23-24, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. and June 24-25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.

Sovereign Sexuality with the GreenHouse Holistic Co-op Center – Join the GreenHouse Holistic Co-op for their Sovereign Sexuality women’s course running from Saturday, June 24 to Sunday, June 25, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The courses seek to bring healing and awareness to women’s relationship with their bodies and divine sexuality. There is limited space, so reserve your spot soon!

Friday 6/23

Foolhardy at Alpine Inn – Live music at Alpine Inn! Come out this Friday night to see local rock cover band, Foolhardy. The music starts at 8:00 pm. Come early for great food, drinks, and company.

Fourth Fridays – Fourth Fridays are back at Riverside Park for the summer! Presented by the La Crosse Area Chamber, come down this Friday to Riverside Park and enjoy food and drink vendors, arts and crafts, music, and fun in downtown La Crosse. The event is free for all ages and will run from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Bring your blankets, chairs, and friends!

Saturday 6/24

J.E. Sunde w/ Carriage House at The Root Note – Come down to the Root Note on Saturday night and see live music by J.E. Sunde and Carriage House starting at 7:00 pm. J.E. Sunde (Jonathan Edward Sunde) is a songwriter and composer based out of Minneapolis, MN. Carriage House is a husband & wife folk duo from the driftless region of the Midwest. The event will last about 3 hours.

Celebrate Onalaska – Celebrate Onalaska all day Saturday with live music, activities for kids, fireworks, and more! Come and enjoy the music of Midwest favorite, Red Dirt Road, let your kids play in the Family Fun Zone, and throw some bags at the Cornhole Tournament. End the evening with a Salute to the 4th fireworks show, for a great day of community and fun.

Discover the Silent City: Feeding La Crosse – How much do you know about La Crosse’s past? Come to the event Discover the Silent City: Feeding La Crosse on Saturday at the Oak Grove Cemetery to learn about the city’s past through theatrical performances. The event will take you on a tour through the cemetery where you will see a variety of performances, lasting approximately 90 minutes. Purchase your tickets now, as the event has sold out in the past. Tours run from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Coming Up

Gregg “Cheech” Hall at the Humble Moon Saloon! – Come and support local favorite Gregg Cheech Hall at the Humble Moon Saloon presented by Deece Productions. The show will be on Friday, June 30th starting at 7:00 pm, and it will be Hall’s debut show at the Stockholm bar. Make the trip up the river road to the Village of Stockholm and enjoy some great live music.

Boogiedown 2023 – Driftless Music Gardens is putting on their second festival of the season, Boogiedown Music Festival on July 21st and 22nd, 2023. The festival features live music, weekend activities, kids activities, camping, and more! Bands like Armchair Boogie, Chicken Wire Empire, Humbird, The Spine Stealers, and Dig Deep will be ready to hit the stage on Friday and Saturday.
