Easter Egg Hunts

Onalaska Egg-Cellent Easter Egg Hunt – Everyone is welcome to the Onalaska Egg-Cellent Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8th from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. The event will be held at the Onalaska High School Football Field and is free for the public. Egg hunters can enjoy food from Betty’s Tacos and Peace Oven Cakes, and there will be door prizes. Pre-register now online, and bring your own basket or bucket. Donations of canned food goods are also welcomed to support the Onalaska School District Food Pantry, but are not required.

Egg Hunt! Hosted by the Mormon Coulee Lion’s Club – Come out for an egg hunt this weekend at Mormon Coulee park hosted by the Mormon Coulee Lion’s Club. All ages are welcome, but participants must bring their own basket or bucket for collecting eggs. Food or financial donations for the local food pantry will also be accepted, but are not necessary for participation. The event starts on Saturday at 3:00 pm.

Wuffy’s 3rd Annual Doggy Egg Hunt – Wuffy and the La Crosse Jaycees invite everyone and their dogs to their 3rd Annual Egg Hunt at Myrick Park from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Make new friends and hunt for colorful eggs around the park filled with Wuffy treats. Get your free ticket and sign up for 1 of the 4 available time slots on Saturday afternoon.

Downtown Art Walk | Carly Petrausky Stained Glass – Support local art at the First Friday Downtown Art Walk on April 7th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Meet featured artists, exhibitions and new collections at various arts supporting locations in downtown La Crosse. These include River City Gallery, the Pump House, Fannin Counseling & Art Therapy which will be featuring Carly Petrausky Stained Glass, and more.

The Tamaracks Live at Alpine Inn – Head to Alpine Inn this Friday night at 8:00 pm to see The Tamaracks live. Get out for a blend of rock, blues, and country music, good food, and a fun evening.

Live Music at the Warehouse – Stop into the Warehouse this Friday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm to see live music from Rig Time, Baltic to Boardwalk, Pass the Flask, Somber Season, and Elk Startled by Thunder. Support regional Midwest bands and get a heavy dose of metal and punk music from a range of groups. Tickets are $12.

Beginner Watercolor Class at River City Gallery La Crosse – Try your hand at watercolor painting with this Beginner Watercolor Class at River City Gallery La Crosse. Guided by painter Pam Lee, reserve your spot for this class on Saturday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. All materials will be provided and there is no prior talent or experience needed to sign up. The class is $30.00 per person, sign up now!

Comedy Night at the La Crescent Event Center – Help the La Crescent-Hokah Lancers football team raise money for equipment for their 2023-2024 season by attending this fundraising Comedy Night at the La Crescent Event Center. The night will begin at 5:30 pm with appetizers and a cash bar. There will be raffles and auction items, and the comedians will take the stage starting at 7:00 pm. Purchase your tickets now.

Trevor McSpadden at the Trempealeau Hotel, Restaurant, and Saloon – Join the Trempealeau Hotel, Restaurant and Saloon in welcoming Trevor McSpadden for a live concert on Saturday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. McSpadden plays honky-tonk twang that is perfect for listening and dancing. Audience members are asked to bring a minimum of $5 cash to contribute for three hours of live music. Further cash donations or merch purchases are welcomed to support McSpadden’s show and keep it on the road.

Coming Up

Music of Pakistan – Sana Illahe at Pump House Regional Arts Center – Reserve your spot for a free concert at the Pump House featuring UWL professor, Dr. Sana Illahe and the Music of Pakistan. Trained in the Hindustani classical music tradition of Pakistan, Dr. Illahe will be sharing the centuries’ old music that has been passed down orally through generations, as well as playing the surmandal, tanpura, and harmonium. The show is free to the public, but donations to the artist are welcomed.

Dos Cuerpos by La Crosse Chamber Chorale – Support the La Crosse Chamber Chorale by viewing their April concerts, Dos Cuerpos, at the Cappella Performing Arts Center on April 15th and 16th. The concerts will feature the chamber chorale along with the Mexican pop a cappella group, Vox Populi. Purchase your tickets now!

Cheech’s Deece Fest Pre Party with Shoeless Revolution – Deecefest isn’t until July, but get a little taste of the fun at Cheech’s Deecefest Pre Party on April 28th at The Main. The party will feature the band Shoeless Revolution, and the chance to win two pairs of tickets for Deecefest this summer. The doors open at 6:00 and the show kicks off at 7:00 pm. Pat McCurdy Adult Prom Night at Alpine Inn – Grab your partner and come to prom! Join Alpine Inn and Pat McCurdy on Friday, April 21st for an Adult Prom Night starting at 8:00 pm. The cover charge is $5 for a night of fun and music.

Artaria String Quartet at Cappella Performing Arts Center – Join the Cappella Performing Arts Center in, yet again, welcoming Minnesota’s foremost teaching and performing string quartet, Artaria String Quartet. From 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm, audience members can expect refined and thoughtful playing and confident interpretations from an exceptional ensemble including the works of Haas, Rudd-Moore, and Brahms.

5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche – The La Crosse Community Theatre will be showing 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche from April 21st to April 30th. Featuring laughs, innuendos, unsuccessful repressions, and delicious discoveries, 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche makes for a great evening or afternoon of theater.
