All Weekend (1/13 – 1/15)
Johnsmith & Friends Annual Concert at the Pump House – The Pump House Regional Arts Center is hosting an evening of music by Johnsmith and friends on January 13 and 14. The doors open at 7:00 pm each night, and the performance will start at 7:30. Irish Folk singer and songwriter Johnsmith will be performing, along with Dan Sebranek, Larry Dalton, and Elisi Smith-Waller. Purchase your tickets soon.
Gold Heart Tattoo and Gallery Exhibition – Come see the newest exhibition at Gold Heart Tattoo and Gallery, looking into the woods around here by Sam Petersen. The exhibition will be on display from January 3rd to February 28th, with a closing reception on February 25 at 7:00 pm.

Friday 1/13
Bill Miller Native American Singer-Songwriter – Head to Leo and Leona’s on Friday at 7:30 pm to see award-winning Native American recording artist, performer, songwriter, activist, painter, and world-class native flute player, Bill Miller. Tickets are $10 dollars in advance or $15 at the door.

Saturday 1/14
Dine, Dash, & Fly Contest | End of Tour Party – Come down to Pearl Street Brewery on January 14 for the End of Tour Party for the Dine, Dash & Fly contest. Bring your completed contest passport, with at least five different stamps from participating restaurants and a spend total of at least $10 dollars, and get into the party for free! If you haven’t completed a passport, you can purchase tickets for $10 at the door. The party will have a “Dress for your Dream Vacation” Costume Contest, live music, vendors and food.
Small Stage Show at the Alpine Inn – Join the folks at the Alpine Inn for the first evening of their Winter Small Stage Concert Series on Saturday, January 14 at 7:00 pm featuring Hillbilly Rocketship.
Aloha Mr. Hand feat. Devin Freedlund at Popcorn Tavern – Support local music at the Popcorn Tavern this Saturday night at 9:30 pm. The show features the funk, dance, and rock of Mr. Hand featuring Derek Freelund on saxophone. The event is 21+ and there is a five dollar cover charge.

Thursday 1/19
Andy’s Alpine Jam – Join your host Andy Hughes at the Alpine Inn every Thursday night in January for Andy’s Alpine Jam presented by Broken Wrist Records. The event will run from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and local musicians are welcome to join this Nashville style open mic. If you’re not interested in getting up on stage, come for the drinks, food, and entertainment!

Coming Up (1/13 – 1/19)
Artaria String Quartet: Tian, Mendelssohn, Bartok – Join the Cappella Performing Arts Center for their first show of the year on January 27, featuring Minnesota’s foremost teaching and performing string quartet, Artaria String Quartet. From 7:30pm to 11:00pm, audience members can expect refined and thoughtful playing and confident interpretations from an exceptional ensemble.
La Crosse Community Theatre Presents The Vagina Monologues – After a successful first season, the La Crosse Community Theatre is bringing back The Vagina Monologues for a second time. The play will show from February 17 through the 26, with performances on Thursdays, Fridays, and over the weekends. Purchase your tickets now!
Deece Productions Presents Petty Comes Alive at the La Crosse Center – Presented by Deece Productions, enjoy a night of the late Tom Petty come alive at the La Crosse Center. The show is on April 1, but tickets are expected to go fast, so purchase your tickets soon.

Greedy Volunteers at Alpine Inn – Make the trip to Alpine Inn on January 20th to see the Greedy Volunteers at 7:00 pm. There will be great music, drinks, and food including a Friday fish fry. There is no cover for this free show!
Magical Midway of Fun Matinee Show – Returning to the Pump House Regional Arts Center on Saturday, January 21 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, bring out the family for The Magical Midway of Fun. Light juggling, puppetry and magic await those who purchase their tickets soon!
