Derek Ramnarace started out the night with an acoustic set of stripped down versions of Old Soul Society songs along with a few covers. Halfway through his setlist he invited his daughter Kaya up to the stage to perform a lovely father-daughter duo of “Talking in my Sleep”, written by Derek.

Charlieboy took to the magenta and yellow lit stage and greeted the Popcorn Tavern audience with a “Hello we’re Charlieboy. We released an EP today, it’s called ‘More Flora’”, and they jumped right into their catchy new track “Pink”. In addition to their new ep, Charlieboy gave us a sneak peak to some unreleased material, assuring fans that they are just getting started. The whole crowd sang back, “Ba da ba ba, Ba da ba baa” as the song ‘Trashcan’ came to an end.

After a short stage turnover, Horrible Redenbacker, a four-piece experimental group of jazz-rockers kept the music going. If you were there, you would have been quick to recognize Eric Gerke’s drumset that reads “This machine loves kitties” as seen at WRST concerts and open jams.
