Them Coulee Boys

The Weber Center, La Crosse Local, Dylan Overhouse Productions, Mike Makes, and Them Coulee Boys have come together to bring you this special virtual concert filmed from the Weber Center for the Performing Arts.

Them Coulee Boys are known for a brand of Americana that blends punk, bluegrass, and rock & roll.  Guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, and drum provide the pulse that drives their original music. In the Fall of 2019 they released Die Happy (Lo-Hi Records), which was produced by Dave Simonett of Trampled By Turtles. They are currently finishing up their 4th full-length album Namesake, produced by Grammy Award winner Brian Joseph (Bon Iver, Paul Simon, Sufjan Stevens).

Through frequent national tours, including a dozen dates with Trampled By Turtles, spots at Americana Fest in Nashville, Blue Ox Music Festival in their hometown, and as an “audience choice” for the 2020 Cayamo cruise, the band has gained a large following over the past few years.

On the heels of the Die Happy release, they found themselves cracking the Americana charts, receiving accompanying shout-outs from American Songwriter, Bluegrass Situation, and American Roots (UK) who said “There is very little on this tremendous album that is ‘simple’ or easy to unravel, with excellent lyrics and arrangements that ultimately make every song a mini-cinematic epic. I would be surprised if we hear a more ‘complete’ album this year.”

They received Artist of the Year, Best Bluegrass/Americana Artist from Wisconsin Area Music Industry, a nod from Folk Alley for Top 50 songs of 2019 – “Find Your Muse”, and Americana Highways Readers Choice Top 100 album of 2019 (#79).
