Sunflower Fields Near La Crosse

Visiting sunflower fields is something that we look forward to each summer. As the sunflower season approaches in Wisconsin, we have compiled a list of the sunflower fields to add to your day-trip bucket list for your family to enjoy these gems of nature. All of these are within driving distance of the La Crosse Area!

Since Mother Nature sets the schedule for sunflower season, it’s always a good idea to check with these businesses before you go to be sure the fields are in full bloom and ready for picking!

 


Jolivette Family Farms

Hours: Monday – Saturday, 8 AM – 7 PM | Sunday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Jolivette Family Farms in West Salem, WI, is a cherished destination known for its diverse agricultural offerings and family-friendly atmosphere. This family-owned and operated farm provides a variety of fresh produce, including fruits and vegetables, grown with sustainable practices.

One of the highlights of Jolivette Family Farms is its stunning sunflower field, which attracts visitors each summer. The sunflower fields are not only a picturesque spot for photos but also a delightful experience for families and nature enthusiasts. The vibrant yellow blooms typically peak in late July to early August, creating a sea of sunflowers that stretches across the landscape.

 


 

Township 23 Distillery

Hours: Thursday, 3 PM – 8 PM | Friday, 12 PM – 8 PM | Saturday, 12 PM – 8 PM | Sunday, 12 PM – 5 PM

Township 23 is a Farm distillery & tasting room in Nelson WI. The sunflower fields at Village Edge Farms outside of Nelson, WI were grown and maintained by the Hetrick Family. In 2022, Zach Hetrick formed a new vision to use their family’s knowledge of crop farming to grow grains to distill spirits.  There is still a sunflower field at the distillery for customers to enjoy!

 


 

The Berry Market

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 10 AM – 6 PM | Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM | Saturday, 9 AM – 7 PM | Sunday, 9 AM – 6 PM

The Berry Market offers a bright and cheerful pick-your-own sunflower experience daily during market hours. For $10, you can snip five gorgeous stems! Just grab the provided cutting tool from the sunflower station and wander the fields to find your favorites. While you’re there, enjoy some of their fresh goodies in the market, or treat yourself with a scoop of ice cream, too! It’s the perfect sunny day outing, complete with beautiful blooms and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

 


Lake View Organic Farm

Address: N1972 420th St. Maiden Rock, WI 

Hours: The self-serve farm store is open daily from 9 AM – 6 PM

Lake View Organic Farm is located on the bluffs above Lake Pepin and the Rush River Valley in the Driftless area of Western Wisconsin. William and Sarah Brenner run a self-serve farm market providing unique, seasonal, and delicious farm products. They grow row crops, hay, straw, and some vegetables. They also raise beef, and press sunflower oil.  Their sunflower fields are in bloom from early August – September.  Check Lake View Organic Farm’s Facebook page for daily Sunflower Reports.
