HOPE Volleyball Tournament | UWL Recreational Eagle Center

Welcome to our HOPE Volleyball Tournament! This event will be hosted on Saturday, April 12, 2025 From 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

This tournament is open to any player who is 18 years old or above. We will be checking IDs on all players. Any form of false identification will result in disqualification of the whole team.

For spectators, this event is open to the general public so minors are welcome but will need to be accompanied by a 18+ guardian.

No food will be allowed inside the recreational space but there will be tables in the lobby for teams to eat at.

Only water is allowed. No coolers may be brought inside the building.

NO VAPING OR ALCOHOL

Teams will be capped at 20 teams (10 women’s, 10 men’s)

RULES AND FORMAT OF GAME:
4 Nets (2 women’s, 2 men’s)
Hmong Rules (please refer to the Hmong Rules post for more information)
ROUND ROBIN
2 sets only
Rally Scoring to 21 (cap at 25)
Third Set Scoring (for elimination) to 15 (switch sides at 8 points)
Best out of 2 games (Win = 3 points, Lose = 0 points, Tie =1)
2 minute warm up for each team

The losers will ref the next game. If both teams are unable to ref, HOPE will be in charge or determine one. HOPE will provide 2 whistles for each team for the duration of the tournament.

For the first round, teams that are playing the next game will ref.

Feel free to bring your own ball. Game ball will be determined by a consensus of BOTH team captains. If there is no consensus, HOPE will determine the game ball.

Only players are allowed to warm up on the court. This is stated in your waiver for both players and spectators.

REGISTRATION:
$85 EARLY registration fee (non-refundable) and waiver forms due by April 4 2025 @11:59 PM

$100 LATE registration fee (non-refundable) and waiver forms due by April 10 2025 @11:59 PM

$15 Deposit Fee to secure your spot. This will be returned after the event as long as your team follows all our guidelines.

The drawing will take place on Friday, April 11th. Results will be posted and announced on Facebook.

Last day to change roster is April 10th @ 11:59PM. Any player added or changed after the final roster date will be charged $10 per change.

MEN’S Registration, please email Chyne Vue at (Chynevue51@gmail.com) and indicate:

– Team Captain and Contact Information
– Team Roster (minimum of 4 players and maximum of 8 players)
– Payment Method (Venmo)

Once you email Chyne Vue or Katelyn Lee to sign up your team, we will email your Captain the waiver forms that must be completed by March 31st (early registration) or April 6th (late registration). Please title emails “Volleyball Tournament”.

Your team will secure their spot once we receive all of these:
– Full payment (registration and deposit)
– All waiver forms of players on roster
– Finalized Roster

Waiver forms for all players will not be allowed to be signed the day of the tournament. Please hand these in via email.

We highly encourage you to have all materials (registration fee and completed waiver forms) when registering to secure your team.

We will only be taking teams who register through Chynevue51@gmail.com or k8lee2302@gmail.com. Any other form of contact will be considered invalid.

The tournament will be considered capped when all women’s and men’s teams have paid their full registration fee and all waivers have been collected.
