Calling all zine lovers and sustainable travel advocates! 🚉
Join Rachel MacFarland (with OPE!-a local publisher, and one of our longtime Pearl Street Books employees) in-store next Thursday, April 3rd, from 6:30-7:30pm to learn about her new zine, Riding Over Land. In this follow-up to her Flying Over Water zine, Rachel explores the future of sustainable travel through public transit and trains. It’s the second zine in a planned trilogy on how we humans interact with the Earth. Partially funded by a city arts grant, it dives into the cultural and environmental impact of increased train travel, spotlighting Amtrak’s new Borealis service between Minneapolis and Chicago.
