The Minnesota Marine Art Museum (MMAM) invites art enthusiasts and community members
to celebrate the beginning of an inspiring new year at the 2025 MMAM Launch Party. This
highly anticipated event will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 7 PM to 10 PM at the
museum, with tickets priced at $20 for the general public and $15 for MMAM members. This
year’s theme, Rising Tides, will guide MMAM’s exhibitions and programming, highlighting the
dynamic relationship between art, water, nature, and resilience.
The evening promises an immersive experience celebrating the opening of three new
exhibitions: Edward Burtynsky: Water, Shelly Mosman: Currents, and the new literary arts
exhibition, Once Upon a Shore. Guests will enjoy exclusive insights from exhibiting artist Shelly
Mosman during an artist-led tour of Currents, as she shares her creative process and the
inspirations behind her narrative-driven portraits.
