Part of what WholeTrees® uses in building, can be trees that aren’t used for anything else, and its less about waste and more about the cullings…utilizing the parts of the forest that are overlooked in conventional timber production (on using whole trees in building).

Mitch Reynolds is a local sustainable builder, acting as the Project and Operations Manager and Analyst for WholeTrees® Structures, we talk his early years, using whole trees in architecture, unique stories from traveling the country, working on a community project with the recently completed La Crosse Bandshell, and his recent candidacy for Mayor of La Crosse.
