The Teen Car Control Clinic (TCCC) is a day-long, 8-hour program that teaches teen drivers vehicle control techniques in a controlled setting. The session heightens students’ awareness and responsiveness to real-world situations and boosts their own and their parent’s confidence in their skills. The program consists of rotating classroom lecture and “hands-on” driving exercises with one-on-one instruction to reinforce the classroom content. During the clinic, teens use their own vehicles to learn and practice accident-avoidance techniques. This program for teens and their parents promotes a greater understanding of vehicle control techniques, heightened awareness of dangerous driving conditions and responsiveness while on the road.
