DESCRIPTION:Join us for this informative session about the Americans with Disabilities Act and Service Animals in businesses and agencies.\nThis free training will answer common questions and cover:\nService Animals Under Federal\, State and Local Laws\nWhat is (and is not) a Service Animal\nProtections and Limits\nBehavior and Training Requirements\nCommon Questions for Food Establishments\, Hotels\, Pools and Other Businesses\nADA Exemptions\nThis training is designed for business owners\, their employees\, and other community agency partners.\nTwo sessions will be offered\, but you only need attend one (other option – April 29th 2pm\, same location)\nWe will be at the Black River Beach Neighborhood Center\, in room Maplewood South.\nRegistration: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/dZ9b1pWBnZ\nPresenter Bio: Kelley Frake is the Program Coordinator for the Great Lakes ADA Center. She joined the Center in 2022 after working under the State of Michigan’s ADA Coordinator in the Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR). She currently serves as the Lead Technical Assistance Coordinator and organizes presentations for the Center’s ADA Audio Conference\, Accessible Technology\, and Ask an ADA Professional online webinar series. Kelley graduated from Michigan State University (MSU) and has been certified through the ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTCP).\nThis event is supported by the La Crosse Lions Club Charities\, Independent Living Resources\, and Great Lakes ADA.
