The La Crescent Apple Festival was founded in September 1949 by Ralph Jones and Mel Hickenbotham to promote La Crescent and its apple industry and ” put La Crescent on the map.”
Apple Festival Inc. is a not-for-profit organization. Board members donate their time and pay their expenses. All profits from the festivals are returned to the community for various projects.
Live music at the King Apple Tent on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, featuring food vendors and a Corn Hole Tournament.
The King Apple Parade will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024.
