Their program\, “Hungarian Rhapsody\,” will be\nperformed Cappella Performing Arts and Events on Friday\, October 24th at 7:30 PM (721 King\nStreet) and features Zoltán Kodály’s Sonata for Cello and Piano\, Op. 4\, David Popper’s\nvirtuosic Hungarian Rhapsody for Cello and Piano\, and Johannes Brahms’ Piano Quartet in G\nMinor\, Op. 23. \nPrize winner of international competitions\, Magdalena Sas performs across Europe\, Asia\nand the Americas\, and appeared in renowned concert halls such as Musikverein and Konzerthaus\nin Vienna\, BOZAR in Brussels\, Witold Lutoslawski Studio in Warsaw\, and NCPA in Mumbai.\nMagda has presented masterclasses and workshops across the globe in collaboration with\nMusAid Organization\, El Sistema\, Global Leaders Program\, International Cello Institute\, Mehli\nMehta Music Foundation and Antigua & Barbuda Youth Symphony Orchestras\, to mention a\nfew. Magdalena is the founder and director of the Third Coast Chamber Collective\, a group\nfocused on promoting the transformative power of chamber music through educational\,\ncollaborative and commissioning outreach projects. \nThe concert is free and open to the public. Danny grew up performing in his dad’s band at the early age of 9 and was self-taught on button accordion (currently endorsed by Hohner Accordions)\, drums\, trumpet\, sax\, etc. He married Michelle L Thull\, who also performed in her dad’s family band and together they started Copper Box. The name implies\, “the squeeze box being a great conductor of energy!” With the help of some incredible talented musicians\, Copper Box continues to deliver a punch in entertainment and musicality\, playing familiar songs with a twist in a multi-genre accord (polka-rock-blues)\, as well as their own originals for concerts and events.
